   @teajaygrey @dgar everything was tariffed, people used to burn down buildings to collect the nails to build a new house because buying nails was so expensive

     I think when I looked it up, it was only 3% too.
     
     At a time when boats were the fastest way to get things from overseas.
     
     I can't think of any tax as low as 3% anymore.
     
     Those Founding "Fathers" were on another level.
