   Anyone remember the time when Chrome was considered a resource hog (mostly because it had better isolation between tabs)
   I feel #Firefox is worse now. I run #Chromium too but firefox does seem to deteriorate more than #Chromium
   Having had firefox get killed by the OS I've just done a "swapoff -a; swapon -a" to make the system more responsive again 🙄

     @ptribble Ha yes mosaic certainly was compared to anything else we were running on sparcstations at the time!
     Do you remember the pretty of IE to Solaris too? ...

     @sxa I do indeed remember IE for Unix.

     I think I've still got a copy of IE for Solaris kicking around here someplace. Might try and get it working, just for entertainment value.

     @sxa I remember the time when Mosaic was considered a resource hog, and things like chimera were trialled as lightweight alternatives.

     @ptribble @sxa Well NCommander did in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AoyQeUzbEU with showing what you need to get it running (seems too painful for me to try but IIRC I grabbed a copy anyway).

     @lanodan @ptribble i didn't realise it was available for HP-UX too - I didn't try that one - thought it was only released for Solaris!
