   On my flight from São Paulo to Atlanta, a woman had too much to drink and she got cut off by order of the captain. She didn't like that, and assaulted a flight attendant who wouldn't serve her more alcohol. They diverted our flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where CBP agents took her and her companion off the plane. We sat on the tarmac for 2.5 hours while the flight attendants were interviewed by the FBI. Now, we've landed in Atlanta, and my connecting flight to Montreal is long gone.

     I'm in a line with about 300 people from two different flights who all need to get rebooked and get a place to sleep for the night. Nobody is doing well here.

     One nice thing about having a layover in Atlanta is I get to stay at the Georgia Tech Hotel. I am going to explore campus before my flight tomorrow.

     @gabriel I will put it on my list! I am pursuing a remote Masters in Computer Science from Georgia Tech so it was a real treat to spend some time on campus there

     @evan this happened in Cuba last time I was there, a day after we left. I think it was 11 days. Complete country blackout. Super glad it didn’t happen on day 1 of our holiday.
