   I know how the poem ends too. Your wealth won’t save you. Your whiteness won’t save you. Fascists eliminate any and all perceived enemies to their hegemony.

   We’re only 4 months into the Trump regime, and shit’s gone sideways in irreversible ways. But he and his owners are not impervious to opposition. Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their ̶c̶o̶u̶n̶t̶r̶y̶ democracy (globally).

   Never forget: there are more ants than grasshoppers.

     Even if my wealth and whiteness *would* save me from the camps, staying silent wouldn't save me from the rotting of my soul

     That poem is a hot button for me and I really need to work to temper my response when I see it cited. I know you're coming from a very different place
