   I ask if any of her kids are considering leaving the US. Nope. We talk El Salvador

   Me: There's a reason Hitler didn't build Auschwitz in Germany
   Diane: What do you mean? Auschwitz is in Germany
   Me:
   Me: It's in Poland
   Diane: You sure?
   Me: Pretty sure
   Diane: I'll bet if you polled, most people would say it's in Germany

     Amusingly, she had just finished telling me how tragic it is that none of her grandkids are properly educated

     "Back in my day, they taught you stuff in school, but none of my grandkids aged 9-25 graduated knowing anything"

     I know one of those grandkids reasonably well. I'm almost tempted to text him and ask if he knows where Auschwitz is, but now I'm afraid to hear the answer
