     @Greengordon Yes, the lid of the ugliness was ripped off in 2016, and I have said that so many times in the past nine years I am practically hoarse. There has been a worldwide decades-long right-wing power grab and this country was one facet.
     But we were still working on making progress against it, AND we still had international allies.
     It's specifically Trump (whose specialty is bullying tactics and threats) who alienated and offended every reasonable country in a very short period of time.

     To be honest, Trump just ripped the mask off and is allowing a lot of really shitty people to show who they are.
