I wish changing my entire online identity was as simple as changing my online alias, but its rly not. I will always be found out because of the way I interact with people online, and how I post.

I will always be known as a "racist" "harasser" who made an entire instance dedicated to mocking fediblock, cause lets face reality here, no one who regularly posts there is a good person. they all love drama and hate white transgender ppl, and thats basically all there is to it.

Sometimes I wish things could go back to how they used to be, but there's no apologising or forgiveness because you'll just be accused of harassment and you'll never be forgiven, and that's just the reality of things.

That's literally what they want. Stop reading the hashtag, stop talking to people that post there and disassociate from communities they talk to (if you can). Then your are 90% of the way there. Your other option is quitting fedi completely like the libertarian galaxy cat did months ago.

You either become their villain and join others on the dark and fun side. Or carefully walk on a thin rope in the grey zone like I do for almost 2 years and still get blocked my most of them anyway. Or you join their community fully. There are no other options.

@david When I eventually leave this platform such people will not matter. I have known the absolute worst of people out to groom younger users while exploiting their vulnerabilities when they are no longer of use.

I am in a different phase of life now than back then. Better in some ways, worse in others. All I can tell you is that how you move forward from your temporary setbacks of being called 'racist' (a word without meaning these days) or 'transphobic' (a word that doesn't invalidate anything) is what truly matters as it sets a baseline for how you'll bounce back from actual, nontrivial setbacks affecting relationships and future prospects.

You need to not let this have control over you. That's how it consumes you, leaving a husk more concerned about external validation than the wellbeing of friends, family and themselves.
