@deprecated_ii@poa.st it’s horrific he doesn’t even realize THAT issue as your statement represents: the fact these people who can’t do the math are getting interviews in the first place, ahead of guys who CAN do that math who aren’t even getting that far because of the system in place.

@deprecated_ii In case anyone was wondering, one possible solution to the actually mildly painful one is;
2x + 3y = 25.43
/2 /2
x + 1.5y = 12.715
assume x=1
1.5y = 11.715
/1.5 /1.5
∴ x=1, y = 7.81
