   A friend posits two candidates

   C1: Will restore Roe and enact medicare for all, with the caveat that we need to move forward not backward

   C2: Thinks Roe is a second term priority, first we need Nuremberg trials and the creation of a clear, enforceable set of laws rather than "norms" [key word there being 'enforceable']

   I vote C1. What could possibly be more important than restoring rights and helping people?

   But I'd be lying if I said I didn't queasily consider C2 for a good ten seconds

     It may very well be that C2 is the more rational, considered sustainable choice.

     But when my immediate thought was, "Oh, C2. Definitely C2..." I can assure you it's not because I was being thoughtful or strategic

     It was a visceral response, a limbic system response. It was, in fact, exactly the kind of response Trump uses to keep such a tight grip on his followers

     And I hate that they've dysregulated me enough to make me feel this way

     @kims If you don’t do C2, then C1 can and will be overturned in two years. Sarah Kendzior talks about this a lot.
