     And i dont know if this is an akkoma exclusive feature but its so fucking annoying im gonna assume it is the little fucking "This API requires an authenticated user" is so fucking annoying It is literally useless Cause you know activitypub sucks and to see any past posts that havent federated you have to go to the remote instance and it fucking does that its so annoyign It doesnt even work too cause everytime another instance is gonna have the posts It just makes vibe checking and doing anything so much more annoyign i hate it so much

     And on the topic of ranting about *oma Modern pleroma fucking sucks its so slow and every new oma instance breaks in like a hour because lain pleroma decided to vibecode a 10k line if statement or something
     
     Pleroma 2.6.3 is the perfect fedi software but you can't fucking use it because there has been like 40 security vulnerabilities since then and im gonna get Fricking pwned

     Someone should make a Pleroma 2.6.3 fork and fix all the vulns maybe i should do that but i dont know how to code and if i just merge all the commits i would probably break something
     
     Theres not a lot of oma forks probably because no one knows what a fuckign elixir is

     @authen both pleroma and akkoma do this and it's because hosting providers are stupid and people can get your hosting account suspended if you're serving a post that violates terms

     @authen this is just one example of the fediverse being poorly designed. the missing replies issue can be solved by fetching an activitypub replies collection from the remote instance. only mastodon implements this collection but it also doesn't make use of it.

     @karebu We have like 5 billion ways to fix backfill and missing replies but no one wants to implement it for some reason activitypub sucks i get why everyone uses bluesky

     @authen if we allowed for backfilling more things using authorized fetch instances would mostly not even need a public frontend, and it would somewhat prevent defederated instances from seeing your posts
