@tatsumoto It would be good if the dictionary listed わかんのか as do you know?

It lists わかん as 和姦 ((consensual) sexual intercourse.) and 和漢 (Japanese-Chinese, Japan and China.) and のか as (Endorsing and questioning the preceding statement.).

What did 日本語 mean by this?

@tatsumoto I use tagainijisho as it's packaged in Gentoo.

GoldenDict-ng looked proprietary due to the proprietary CoC, but thankfully it being GPLv3-or-later saves it; "All other non-permissive additional terms are considered "further restrictions" within the meaning of section 10. If the Program as you received it, or any part of it, contains a notice stating that it is governed by this License along with a term that is a further restriction, you may remove that term."

Guess I'll have to write an ebuild for it.

Also, why do you host on github? Doing so requires running proprietary software after all.

@Suiseiseki you need a dictionary that can understand inflected words. in this case, わかんのか?⇒わからないのか?⇒わからない⇒分かる

Rikaitan has a deinflector built-in. jisho.org can deinflect words. goldendict-ng can deinflect words if used together with gd-tools.

The free software replacement for actions existed before github even existed; https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Customizing-Git-Git-Hooks

@Suiseiseki GoldenDict-ng is developed by a few Chinese guys. They probably slammed a default GitHub CoC just because GitHub tends to encourage that.

I sometimes use GitHub because I haven't found a good alternative to GitHub Actions. But I think freedom-wise Gitea is preferable.
