     Most stuff I'm finding with his name on a repo has no license which means it's proprietary.

     @sally he is unironically easy to phonebook this is what I get when I look up his name on searXNG. British people really don't have privacy, and he's likely from the UK looking at the domain from his email and website (that is dead) that you find on his github.

     Something tells me this guy has written more proprietary code than free software because I don't find a lot on repos, he spends more time bitching like a Redditor than posting public commits, would be unsurprising if true.

     Yep, basically posting a software repository without a license is essentially publishing copyright bait. A few instances I've seen of people doing that was to troll clueless victims that don't know better, so when the poster finds out someone they hate used the code they can threaten with perfidious litigation. I'd never touch source code without a license precisely for that, and specially from a corporate tool brainwashed by lewoke corporate agenda, these people are genuinely scumbag and have no shame.

     @sally seems like you're right "However, without a license, the default copyright laws apply, meaning that you retain all rights to your source code and no one may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your work. If you're creating an open source project, we strongly encourage you to include an open source license."
     Anyway where do you even find these repos on his github I don't see any contributions but only 1 repo he made 9 years ago.

     @sally I never knew I probably have some of those repositories lying around on my github (I switched to GitLab) might login to change that although even if someone does redistribute I won't sue them anyway.

     High chance it's the same guy given it's C codebase and the guy wrote stuff for Linux (kernel) back in the 90s, which was C.

     @sally @Yoruka I could see that you were referring to Linux, but you wrote "Linux (kernel)", which reinforces the error that Linux is more than a kernel.
     
     If you wish to stress that Linux is only a kernel, please write; Linux, the kernel, or the kernel, Linux.
