@Griffith @unusual_whales @transgrammaractivist in 2014, first round of the trade war started by obama during his "china pivot", he kicked the can down the road and left apec
chinese industry setup final production all over the rest of the world. mainly mexico, canada, peru, vietnam, indonesia, india. back then its all doom and gloom for chinese production.
hence the explosive loss of exports and relative gain in exports via reroutes. its an open secret. now that china has spent 10 years consolidating these routes and streamlining them, china only pushes 2% of all exports to usa directly. mostly tinkets that dont actually have any tarrifs from round 1.
what usa should have done to be rid of these comparitively valued exports is setup its own stuff producing it. but it didnt. instead trump went after those reroutes by cutting itself off from ALL TRADE.
everyone took that badly, trump now walks back every single one of those threats and focuses on the one place that spent 10 years preparing for 100% tarrifs.
“CHYNA" is an mkultra attempt.
Usa interally has overblown dollar, oversold companies making nothing of value, serious debt problems and a credit crisis. Reverse carry yen is dead. Basis trade died today. Nigga went online and poasted about fort knox then forgot about it lmao.
narrative went from
we win cus it brings back industry
we win because kill stock save bonds
we win cus everyone gets to buy dip
we win cus CHINA MADE THE MARKET BAD NOT ME
i can sincerely assure you, china even at 1 trillion percent tarrifs feel a thing.
