That's a great book. It asks how much of us would be lost if we emerged to be more than the sum of our parts.
I'm not sure I'd want to send the end of humanity. We either travel the stars or vanish with a whisper. Judging by how much life we've found in our universe would suggest the latter being the most likely end for the life that's come before us, and the life that comes after.

Forever is a long time. I don't think I could be entertained for that long. But I don't want to die, either. I want to see the story of humanity through to it's conclusion, and know that we did the best we could. I guess I have this idea that I'm fighting against anything that oppresses humanity, whether that be bad people, inefficient systems, or the laws of the universe as we know it.
