Chrome used to have a top bar notification about it not being the default browser that often got truncated in a funny way and read like "Google Chrome is not a browser" — which is true of course, Google even admits it now 😅Phantasm likes this. -

Chromium does have some Google callbacks in the base code, but it is open source and Chromium-based browser projects can patch it out.
Brave is Chromium-based and they have a list of stuff they remove from the Chromium code base, including the Google callbacks. -
