   @navi @lunareclipse Meanwhile for me the problem with gemini is that well… the protocol kind of sucks when it comes to managing abusive crawlers and gemtext is way too basic (like 70's roff should not look luxurious).

     @lunareclipse i feel like it's a bit of a chicken and egg situation
     
     people write alpha-ish software in a weekend due to simplicity, then realize... "oh, i barely have anything to actually browse with this", and drop it
     
     and then people wanting to host things see the ecosystem and go "why would i set up a capsule, there's barely any good software to browse with"
