Good golly geez whiz, the Mormons and the LDS corporation is a gold mine of weird stuff
They are exoterically "patriarchal", but gave a female the power to revise the super holy temple ceremony in the eighties. The temple ceremony that Smith said came from God himself, but a priestess can override God somehow
And the Romney’s "Bain Capital" received partial seed funding from George Soros, who is allegedly a lefty as opposed to the alleged "conservative" Romneys
Secret matriarchs, left and right sharing moola freely
it's like everything is a show, a fake

@GaryPaulWood there are no known priestesses except a couple that joseph smith personally ordained in the 1800s as far as I know?

@GaryPaulWood btw its not talked about a lot but there's a Holy Mother in LDS, and I suspect at some point there's going to be a revelation that the Holy Spirit in the Godhead is Her.

@GaryPaulWood They consider it "perfected masonry" or that masonry was a degraded memory of the true rituals. personally when I look at the two LDS really is better, it's an integrated way of life for the whole family while masonry is a club for men with some fluorishes.

@sun
it is closer to the older version of the mysteries, so they aren't bluffing. it was a family affair, not just the men

@GaryPaulWood tbh I'm a fan of mormons in a lot of ways, it's not for everyone though so there are problems with making it the standard

@GaryPaulWood there's the corporation and there's the devout people.

@sun If they were actually what they claimed instead of a corporate cult, it'd be a lot less objectionable

@sun
and the corporation leaches off the faithful
allegedly, LDS leadership even calls them "goyim" or "cattle"
