   @Hoss i got a new 2023 quarter as change for a purchase and man they fucking suck ass. they feel flimsy and they're noticeably lighter than another one i have from 2002. first time ive really compared them and its not good.
   
   found an even older one from 1986 and thats heavier than the other two.

     The new quarters suck so much the change machines at my bank don't even register them as valid currency and spit them out. I dread seeing new quarters in my change jar, knowing the change machines won't take them.

     I don't think Cupronickel alloy has become expensive enough to make the minting of quarters unprofitable yet, but they may be using less of it now.

     I have a baggie of reject change out in my car, but I'm too lazy to go out and grab it to compare against an old quarter on my jewelers scale.
