    Folks who are new to protesting:

    Never sign up for protests online. Never organize online. Just show up the day of with your sign, comfy clothes, and wont-cry-if-you-lose-it water bottle. If you've already signed up, don't do it again.

    If you're worried, bring a minute flip phone and write your lawyer's number on your arm.

    Random yahoo commenters will be quashed.

      Another thing when protesting:

      Wear boots, not shoes.

      Shoes come off and get lost at the first sign of even mild argy-bargy, which often happens unexpectedly.

      @mwl yes. Ive been a self-protection "teacher" at many protests and non-violent actions in many collectives. If you so not have a lawyer put instead the number of your legal tutor (if you have good relation of course) or someone else that you trust. They take advantage if they see you have no support of any type. Also. Please. Learn how to avoid damage when police starts lifting you etc. Dont oppose resistance with violence ever, just stay rock but making it easy for them to "transport" you

      When a government acts more and more like a private business, the difference becomes faint.

      @mizblueprint :flan_trophy:

      I'm not saying that there should be violence at a protest.

      But if there is, it should be at a private business and not the Capitol.

      I'm so old, we coordinate after church choir practice whether we're going to the Capitol (Oregon) or to the Tesla dealership. Since there has been vandalism & firebombing at the Tesla dealership, we opted for the Capitol, again.

      @mwl I was interested that Indivisible is touting 500k registrations for tomorrow. Show up, I will, or I won't, but I don't think I'll register on the internet.
