Since the early 2000s (?), a school of thought appeared in China that advocate for the word "Loong" as the replacement of "Dragon", as they believe these are different mythologies. They didn't use "long" as it doesn't look like a proper noun in English. This sect's influence is far from universal, but noticeable. Loongson is apparently its follower.
