   While the actual meaning of the term "soyware" often accurately describes my personal opinions on some software (being frustrating to use, bloated, inefficient and unstable), I really dislike the term itself.
   
   I know the term originally came from the wojak/soyjak meme sphere which I find rather cringe. Especially because I don't consider soy to be a bad food ingredient (I got raised in an Indonesian family and we tend to eat a lot of soy products).
   
   What is a better alternative term to describe soyware?

     @garfieldairlines@fedi.garfieldairlines.net I think "slop" in general means "unappetizing" which can definitely work I guess.

     @garfieldairlines@fedi.garfieldairlines.net Yet there's one issue and that is that in tech spheres the meaning of "slop" has been shifting to mean anything "generated by machine learning models", which is not what I mean.

     It doesn't have an association with beef-overdosed losers, and I love how much more hateful it is towards the companies that are fine with giving us this shit

     Soy is good, I don't want to associate soy with something bad. We can all agree that shit is disgusting tho.
