     @rix @ajsadauskas NewPipe fails me regularly, it crashes, has issues handling network changes etc but I still chose it over the YT recommendation algorithm

     @duke_of_germany @timmy Yeah, I tend to use NewPipe on Android to watch YouTube videos these days.

     There's no ads, you don't have to log in with a Google account, and instead of algorithmic feed it defaults to the channels you follow.

     Also, you can watch PeerTube videos through the same app.

     It's available on the F-Droid app store: https://f-droid.org/en/

     I switched most of my YT consumption over to the desktop application „FreeTube“. Same videos, but a completely different world!

     holy shit youtube completely got rid of "don't recommend this channel again". it decided i wanted to see a livestream of ai music slop and all i can do is thumbs down it
