@CapitalB sure, but what about vanden bossche? or john campbell where you can follow the process of reasoning over years now. both are painted as nutjobs. while people who have no expertise blurb about "trust the science" with "the science" being the one position the leadership selected as correct - without having any clue aside lobbyist money.

why would people suddenly start to say things that were wrong when all their careers they didn't?
corruption? unlikely, they risked or forfeited their careers, social credit or even their whole existence (debanking etc.)
psyops? maybe? i'd venture it's hard to psyop people into saying the very opposite of their professional convictions if it carries the hefty social penalty described above. laymen are much an easier target.
