   I'm not mad at anyone, but I don't know how to deal with the nihilism. It's not an emotional/mental state I experience in the face of fascism or I wouldn't be able to study all this awful shit like I do. I'm writing about this stuff because history tells me, and I have to believe, eventually the fascists lose and we don't all die. If I didn't believe that, it'd be like I'm just constantly sharing the worst shit in the world with everyone around me so we can all feel terrible until they kill us

     "Nobody is going to arrest Trump" that's probably true. But Trump literally cannot run the entire US government by himself. If everyone who works for him finds themselves vilified in the media, summoned before the Senate, threatened with prosecution and forced to resign, the regime is gonna have a hard time finding people to keep enacting Trump's fascist agenda. Flak is good. Delays are good. Resignations are good. There is no way what is happening here is somehow BAD for ppl who hate fascism.

     "The regime won't care" - the regime has already sent out the President, the Sec of Defense, the director of national intelligence and every media muppet they own to try and make this go away; they are not acting like they don't care.

     "Trump already broke laws" yes except he's targeting things the establishment doesn't care enough about to make a 24 hour endless scandal; they care about this. We're not disagreeing that these people are amoral shitlords, but THIS motivates them to start fighting

     Not picking on anyone, but man, I get why you feel bad, I just don't know how I can fix that for you when your feelings supersede reality.

     "The Dems won't do anything/probably like this expansion of power" - Dems are already demanding resignations; there was a Senate hearing THIS morning.

     "The media won't care" - corporate media has been running stories on this non stop for bordering on 48 hours in a way they haven't talked about almost anything else Trump has done.

     This story? Brings us closer to B and C. It doesn't fix everything. It's not going to magically make the fascist stop. It doesn't even make the damn liberal establishment our allies.

     But it's better if they're mad and attacking, than doing nothing and letting the fascist dictatorship install roll on unabated.

     I am not going to blame you, if you have run out of hope and belief that fascism CAN be stopped. But if so? I dunno that reading the shit I write should matter to you at all.

     The fact is, there's only three ways this ends and one of them I'm not concerned about because if it happens, I'm dead.

     A) Trump wins and we do Nazi Germany 2.0

     B) Trump's fascist agenda grinds to a halt because the regime meets so much resistance they can't successfully enact their full agenda.

     C) millions of people get into the streets and we go full "shut it down" until doing fascism is impossible and the regime is deposed - one way, or another.
