   as long as Linux refers to a kernel, yes.
   but the operating system that so many people use, mistakenly calling it Linux, is actually named GNU, and it was started by Richard.

     1. The OS that has impacted the tech world is GNU+Linux system. Please don't wrongly attribute gnu's work to linus.

     2. GNU system has been developed from the start with a clear goal of giving users freedom and *not* because of some nerd's curiosity.

     What amazes me is that Linux, an operating system that was going to have such a huge impact on the world of Technology, was born out of something as simple as a nerd's curiosity and something like "Hey, look what I did!".

     Well boy, it's been a long and fun journey since then.
