@sickburnbro When have schools ever promoted meritocracy instead of social standing? We’ve been putting blacks in schools by gunpoint since the beginning. It’s funny that anyone thinks our schooling was ever governmentally run and not investiture from the rich to do their bidding. -

@jb I think the important thing to keep in mind here is that the supreme court, in particular - is in fact a political body. While lower courts can ( and should ) be more mechanistic, when something gets to the SCOTUS, it's always actually a politically involved decision.
Thus - the more people ignore the supreme court, they worse *politically* they look. -
