   @Shlomo So let me get this straight, the West made a big show last December about how Russia was utterly defeated in Syria and how Turkey is Our Greatest Ally™ for defeating ebil Assad, only for the Russians to now gain more control in Syria than during Assad because the West's golems from HTS and their comprador groups are getting out of control - am I getting this correct?

     This causes Western people to think they can place people on one of two teams, when things are (thankfully) much more complicated.
