   @davidtoddmccarty I don't know about Linkedin, but Meta disfavors posts with links. Supposedly placing them in the comments counters this somewhat.

     I’m seeing a trend on social media platforms with an algorithm (LinkedIn and Facebook), whereby people are putting links to whatever it is they’re talking about in the comments, as opposed to just posting the link.

     What is the purpose of this? What do they hope to avoid? Will it work? Or are they just making it difficult for everyone?
