I know I make a lot of book recommendations, but anyone read any good, friendly fantasy lately? Please boost. I'd like to see as many as possible, and I'm bookmarking this time! #Bookstodon
Something not entirely focused on war. Something with characters I can get attached to. Oh, and as much as I like the Wandering Inn, I think I'm done with the lit RPG world. Been seeing a lot of those lately.
@Fragglemuppet New Katherine Addison (Tomb of Dragons) just dropped. Kid just picked up Tracy Deonn’s Oathbound and is loving it so far. If golems count, I Made It Out of Clay is almost a beach read.
@dhamlinmusic@jmccyoung The Phoenix Keeper describes itself as cozy but doesn't involve cooking, sewing, knitting, bookshops or tea. I like that in a summary! lol
@Fragglemuppet@jmccyoung Yeah, they have the first 2 in audio, and the 2nd in braille, first is still being transcribed. In that vein there's also The Phoenix Keeper, and Legends and Lattes.
