@feld @lain @polarisera by the way they even rig testing so that failure doesn't look as bad. I can't remember where I read about it but schools do things like mass cheating on standardized tests, people have been caught and fired. -

@sun @feld @lain @polarisera It wasn't quite cheating, but my school did badly on a state standardized test so they made it mandatory for everyone to take a semester long course directly designed around passing that specific exam. Taught things like using a particular brand of pencil because the scanners would pick it up better, how to just guess the answer based on the format of the multiple choice math answers instead of learning the math properly, etc dilbert 1 likes this. -
