While similarities are huge,
I think that (still) having two states where the chief language isn't English (the #US avoided this until about 2050 or so 😉), that Independence came about 150 years later (i.e.#CAN Indian Trust Fund invented by the #Crown), and that they are world-class in ice hockey are some big differences.

On a more serious note, #Reagonomics* in the #US really made people a lot less educated than they could be.
What was the cause in #Canada?
Hearing that it was the same in #Canada, made me very angry. The damage that the perpetrators committed on purpose is so huge. Not only for the ones who got insufficient or false education, but for society as a whole and for the whole world.

Sometimes I think about the fact that the only difference in the histories of the US and Canada is that one had slavers from its founding and one did not.

@HistoPol @jbe All public educational books & resources were whitewashed in US & Canada. This is why many people are only starting to learn the true history of both countries, in present day.
