     @dneary I roasted it! Traditionally it's supposed to be boiled but I like a moist roast. And, yes, I think it's a North American tradition.

     @evan How did you make your corned beef? As a Paddy, I admit that I learned that corned beef and cabbage was a "traditional" St. Patrick's Day meal*after* I moved to the USA.
