   I never knew people were so butthurt about the clutch claw until years after I finished playing Iceborne lmao...as a mostly solo hunter I barely cared about it, I just used it to make tougher parts easier to break and wall slam.

     @teto @LittleTom Fighting games is very honest PvP, not sure which fighting game you're having fun in singleplayer with though since most are made unfun by how the AI cheats to be difficult.

     @supersid333 @LittleTom I didnt even care about kicking the ball in irl soccer games at school. I have no thrill for pvp in any capacity. I just played them to be with friends before monster hunter came to pc. Before that I convinced some to try it on consoles. Even if those were the Wii U and 3DS. Meanwhile most days we played CSGO and Dota 2 and it made me fall asleep. If anything my friends didnt want to play those games specifically with me anymore because I didnt really care about winning and was never improving either.

     @teto I'll confess I have never fought IB Fatalis because I was done with the game by the time he came out. Alatreon was my final boss.
     I did focus on tenderizing when it came to Safi Jiiva though, I ran SnS for it cause tenderizing with that weapon was actually fun.
     
     I want to replay the game and actually go all in on hunting/soloing all the tougher monsters (except AT Kushala fuck him) but I've been putting it off.

     @LittleTom monster hunter is the franchise I play always. It's the best coop game to play with friends. And I highly dislike pvp games. So other than maybe a modded coop mod run of elden ring, theres isnt much to choose from on pc. (western games dont count, theyre all ass to me)
     Although I do admit Helldivers 2 was also fun. Just not as addicting.

     @teto It was a bad idea I agree. I don't think I had even realized that weakness exploit straight up didn't work on parts that weren't tenderized so I just didn't care...I enjoyed the hunts taking longer again lmao.

     @LittleTom as a guy who played monster hunter since 2008... it felt gimmicky and not very rewarding. Endgame also heavily rewarded you for slotting for higher damage on "tenderized" parts which you basically needed to beat fatalis. It worked without that shit before so why have it in there? Because it was a gimmick. Also you also NEEDED the stupid mantle that makes you invincible to really get use out of it in the endgame. Just a dumb mechanic that wont be missed.
