@duncan_bayne I was a toddler when I took the light bulb out of my nightlight and stuck my finger in there. My finger was blackened, it tripped the breaker, my mother was FREAKING OUT, and, at the time, I thought this was the funniest thing that could ever possibly happen.

@hellomiakoda Telling our kids "don't eat these" and explaining what happens if they do, seems to have done the trick. Main thing was keeping them away from the kids until they were old enough for that conversation.
Same with the exposed mains wiring in the valve amp in the living room. "Today we're going to learn about shock hazards".
Never really believed in the "child safe home" thing. Best to equip their workbench with a soldering iron, and have smoke and CO detectors, and fire extinguishers, placed liberally around the house.
