I started making congee for breakfast but instead of rice I added cous cous, and alongside fish sauce I added sun dried tomatoes and pesto. Then the proteins. So I have a Mediterranean khao tom and I love it

@jawnsy frankly I haven’t thought about that because I only use the word congee in English. I much prefer using the specific Chinese or Thai or Indonesian words to describe congee dishes which feel more precise
