Ooc: yeah, I've been RPing a minor character from Futurama for like two years now, and I'm not slowing down. The most important thing for me was finding a clear concept for the character. Lrrr, Ruler of the Planet Omicron Persei 8, getting stuck on Earth dealing with the frustration of being reduced to just some guy living in suburban mediocrity and turning to shouting on the internet seems like it struck a chord. As someone who does this principally for comedy reasons, it has been totally vindicating to pour thousands of ideas into a spinoff-worthy concept. The character is far less important than the content, though; people seem to like my all-caps ranting for the underlying madcap sensibility and forceful but lighthearted rhetoric, not just invoking the name of a villain in a show that, let's face it, hasn't aged well.

Beige.party has been a pretty good landing pad for misfits and weirdos, although a lot of my favorite accounts decamped to Bluesky last year. I know some people over on retro.pizza and jorts.horse, but I'm pretty comfortable where I am and have no desire to leave. They seem to tolerate me for what I am.
