@twinebad the edge nodes are already planned to change as part of my project to remove buyvm out of the stack and stuffing it all on nulled. the latency will drop for DC1 to probably about 5ms from 40ms today. DC2 is still proposed and there's two ways forward:
- new nulled DC when that comes online
- i buy a house in the near term and pay a fiber provider to trench a business line to it (if one does not exist), and as part of that construction project i'll sign a long term contract for 10Gb or better and make that DC2
the vast majority of perceived latency these days is from I/O throttling at the edge anyhow.- ✙ dcc :pedomustdie: :phear_slackware: and dilbert 1 like this.

@7666 if you move to the middle of nowhere wont the latency from the edge to the actual lain.la servers go to shit. gonna put everything in/near the DC? gonna lay fiber direct to your ranch villa in minnesota?
