@tatsumoto It only works if the anki cards are displayed with free software. -

@tatsumoto You can just use an older version that isn't as bloated and has the exact same features.
A problem is that it's hard to say that any Android .apk is free software, as the SDK used to build most of them is proprietary software. -

@Suiseiseki Anki is free software. It's terribly bloated but at least it still remains free. -

@tatsumoto I didn't even know that Anki had add-ons.
F-droid uses a proprietary SDK to build every single .apk even since at least 2016; https://f-droid.org/docs/Installing_the_Server_and_Repo_Tools/ -

@Suiseiseki An older version of Anki would be incompatible with newer add-ons. You basically have to choose between having to deal with bloat or having no add-ons.
When it comes to Anki for Android, it is distributed through F-Droid, so you can be sure that it's free.In conversation permalink -

@Yoruka @tatsumoto It might just use the webkit built into Android. In conversation permalink -

@Yoruka @Suiseiseki yes. HTML, CSS, and JS are used to format and display cards. In conversation permalink -
