I love the theory, that Elfs are literally the lazyest race in all of fantasy.

Because you literally cannot find a low level vampire. They do not exist, since they hunt every night for hundreds of years.

On the other hand, you can find many 300+ year old elfs, who are level 3.

Really? You couldn't be assed to kill a single rat every decade to get to the level 10 already?

Well, no. You might not do anything important. But, you will find a hobby. And in case it is smithing for example, you will become Celebrimbor before you even know it.

@LukeAlmighty When you believe you have all the time in the world you accomplish very little. It makes perfect sense.

@LukeAlmighty they probably have high level arts, but nobody else can understand wtf is going on with them. I'm imagining it is the equivalent of showing a caveman Dream Theater or Animals As Leaders.

@LukeAlmighty @TenaciousGoat Elves have the "Tree hugging" hobby, which is not respected by other races, so it just seems like they aren't improving any skill at all.

@LukeAlmighty I think elfs have also been imbued with a certain wisdom that other races aren't. But that isn't an excuse not exercise every now and then. 🤣

Dragons are even lazier, but with them it's for good reason: they grow more powerful with age, the opposite of most other mortal beings. And they can grow so old they can just out-wait many problems, just letting their enemies die of old age.
