It's 2025. Why can LibreOffice (@libreoffice) still not handle fonts in PDFs correctly?

@mytwobits01 That's impossible for us to answer, without any useful details. What version of LibreOffice, on what operating system? What do you mean by "handle correctly" – when exporting? Have you filed a bug report, or even better, offered to help the volunteers who work hard to give the world a free office suite, with extremely limited resources? 😊

@mytwobits01 As you still won't tell us your LibreOffice version or operating system, or file a bug report, there's not much we can do to help...

@libreoffice
My post was more one of frustration than an abortive bug report.I loaded a PDF in LibreOffice, and its two columns of text were overlapping. It works fine in xpdf.
I *do* appreciate the work of those who work in free software. But I've also observed lopsided development in long-term projects. Firefox has left bugs unfixed for decades.
LibreOffice showing such an obvious flaw indicates a larger structural problem than a bug report can address.
Thanks for your quick response.
