@Fragglemuppet I'm a Jim hensen/Joe roposo Muppet and SS fan. Not feeling the love as much under Brian Hensen, and Disney's ownership.

@Fragglemuppet have yet to check out Fraggle rock. I have it, however.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl How so? I've heard it described as well, but it's been a while. One of my favorites, by the way!

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl I've got it both described and not described. And, I'm shocked they didn't get in trouble for this one episode, Boober Rock, that one with the killer plants?

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl If it's just the subject matter, well that was the great thing about the show. They weren't afraid to go certain places and deal with certain things that you wouldn't see in most kids shows today.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl Well, not quite like that, unless you count the plants in the one where Red was racing with Lanferd through the caverns. Those ones were said to choke you.

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl The idea that there are these killer plants that wipe your memory and then eat you. That one spawned some nightmares inits time. I thought it was one of the best, but notice that there was never another story like that in the show's entire history.

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl Part of what spawned nightmares in some kids was the way these things just enveloped fraggles, and that these two ancient fraggles had gone to the caves of forgetfulness and were never seen again.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl There was a user on the old Fraggle Rocker forum who put it this way, "when you get right down to it, Fraggle Rock is a pretty dangerous place to live!"

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl I missed that one. But I loved that one episode Boober Rock. I loved the lesson behind it and I, personally, loved that slightly dark element.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl But I mean, who would want to go back? I know no matter how well-armed I was I'd want to stay far away from there.

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl trust me, I'm a fraggle rock fan and I loved it when I got the described version. I have oth, described and not described. I so wished they'd revisited the caves of forgetfulness. I mean, they had a perfect means to keep the plants from effeting them, IE Boober's laundry soap thing that did this cool chemical reaction thing.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl Ooh, you just got me thinkin'! What if that leads to the labyrinth? I could see Jareth using those plants.

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl Maybe to figure out if there's anywhere beyond them. the caves didn't dead end. I remember when I had some vision and saw the episode, there was this other tunnel that led out in another direction. Or maybe they could trap the gorgs there lol.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl They were just called Ma, Pa and Junior. And by the way, Junior was a perfectly acceptable name to me, because there was a kid who lived in our building called Junior who I used to play with. It never occurred to me that he could've just been named after his father.
There was someone on Muppet Central who made up names for them, and they were quite good! I meant to ask him if I could use the names for a fic idea that I had, but I forgot.

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl Imagine him experimenting with them and coming up with something new? I still would love to see if those plants either improved or decreased the gorgs' intelligence lol. I keep forgetting their names, but the kid I used to call dunderhead rofl.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl They do talk about it a lot in the episode. In fact it's the basis for Mokey's plan. Unless they show them in other episodes?

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl Every time you see the gorgs at table, you get a look at the shakers. It's a recurring thing, but unless the plot depends on it, it's not in descriptions, but I remember having some vision and seeing the things just sitting on the table.

@maerlynofmiria @tinygirl Now those really were lost on me as a little blind kid. Maybe that's the first reason I started to dislike him. I did like the one though with the magic stone (ice cube), that cried when it was stolen.

@Fragglemuppet @tinygirl One thing I loved was the letters from Uncle traveling Matt. Like the one where he visited a subway stationand thought it was a traveling cave that screamed through another cave and that the silly creatures were just standing around. Or how about the one where he thought kangaroos were transportation vehicles?
