@hazlin no i saw a video where someone mentioned something called Routinery. they were using it to put all their tasks in a list and then it basically formed an interval timer where they could just slap next and not think about it.

i know timeto.me does something KIND OF like this. you can attach checklists to "tasks" and set recurrences. it's more built to record if you're at work, asleep, or whatever, but you can kind of set it up with repeat actions.

probably throw it in the list of things to ponder

@hazlin hm looks like TimeR Machine can also be abused in this way, goofily. its meant for exercizes but you can set an interval step to count upward instead :neocat_thonk:

@hazlin they were doing something like that yeah. setting them up so it just shows you one thing at a time, until you tell it to advance, and treating the todo list as a "playlist."

apparently phone apps existed to do this but they want subscriptions and are written like shit. idk.

i rigged something like this with taskwarrior once. it would put the highest ranked task on pibar and clicking on the text would mark it done, triggering a hook to go pull the next highest entry and write it to a file in /tmp so pibar would update.

i never ended up using that workspace after putting it together though. don't really recall what happened.

Like, it feeds you the list, and sends you to "next" after a time interval, or if you click, next?
