Another school shooting in the US.
You can own all you like, but if your kids life is as cheap as a rando's gun purchase at Walmart with a credit card, then you don't really have a good standard of living.

@selzero The 2nd Amendment states Americans have the right to "bear" arms. It doesn't state they have the right to treat schools are live firing exercises.
@SirLuke No thank you. I prefer societies that don't arm a legion of bad guys so 9 year olds have to be trained to be Chuck Norris and "protect themselves"
What a bullshit opinion you have.
Go sit in the reprobate corner.
@selzero
Many estimations of a "good standard of living" include the right to (and means of) self defense
@selzero
At least you've admitted that the "good standard of living" you want is just your preference. It's certainly not objective or universal.
@SirLuke yes. Your opinion that every day your kid might come home in a casket is an amazing standard of living is your subjective and very stupid opinion. I admitted that.
@SirLuke I'm interested.
Name three things that gives your life more value than the safety and security of your children.
I want to see your value structure.
Here in Europe I raised my child, sent him to school every day, and never considered there was a possibility he might be shot at school. It just wasn't a possibility.
You are saying, you don't care that there is a possibility that your kid might get shot and killed at school, that there are more important things than your kids safety and security.
I'm just asking you to name which things are more important. Why don't you want what we have?
@selzero
It's interesting to frame this this as "the safety and security of your children", as valuing the safety and security of their children is a common justification from gun owners.
