@rexo@is.horse @tulpenkiste@lea.pet @privateger@plasmatrap.com I'm not opposed to permissive licensing, but I definitely prefer something with copyleft so if I choose a project to use I can always be sure that any future versions or forks of this projects are going to be released under the same terms as well so updating and switching between versions becomes significantly easier and more convenient.
If you're going to use a permissive license it much better to use something like the Apache 2.0 License because it actually protects from patent treachery.
I have no idea why the MIT (Expat) license is so popular in the permissive software space right now, it is a very mediocre license. -
