   The Birds is the movie that made a lot of boomers and Gen Xers afraid of flocking birds. Jaws may have made some people afraid of the ocean, but I don't know to what extent this is true. Can you think of any other movies or shows that ruined a good thing for a lot of people?

     @Fragglemuppet I just looked it up. 1974. Had a pretty impressive cast! (I think I saw it when it made it to TV, because I wasn't even born yet in 1974.)
