   @iro_miya@mk.absturztau.be Just image in your head a Dutch person who is bad at English that tries speaking English and you'll understand how things are pronounced.
   
   This is also how I learned spelling in Japanese kana.

     I just cannot make sense of Dutch pronunciation. I see a spelling, then I hear the pronunciation, and I'm just like ??? how did you get to that???
     
     I've never had that with German, I always found it kinda makes sense.
