   @siina I don't really mind myself (i have 2 discord accounts after all) but it's quite telling they won't use matrix or (lol) xmpp. That said, there were people on fedi that use fedi a lot that gave reasons why discord still was and will be their chat platform of choice

     @mischievoustomato @siina I hate everything about discord, from the insular cliques to the furry troons behind the scenes doxing people, and especially, the way it has destroyed hardware and software forums to the point where you can't search for solutions to many things anymore because they're only discussed in ephemeral chats that go away instead of posted to a proper forum.
