@VikingChieftain it had "GERMAN TECHNOLOGY" on the packaging and as an extra-annoying sticker on the pan itself. I had to look really closely, but on the outer paper sleeve it said FULMINGHAGEN, GERMANY, GERMAN TECHNOLOGY

Yes, big letters saying "Designed in Germany" (or some other country with a good reputation for the quality of its products) and then a tiny little "Made in China". 😂
