     @kerosene @hfaust It will never be the "year of the Linux desktop", as Linux is only a kernel that doesn't operate on its own.
     
     The year of the GNU/Linux desktop was in 1995 or so, as you could finally use a modern computer in freedom again - alas that freedom was savagely ripped away in 1996 with the first proprietary program (of many) inserted into Linux.
