     @novenary meanwhile here dos-part vs. gpt is like a coin toss, in fact on my desktop /dev/sda is dos while /dev/sdb is gpt.

     @novenary Pffft, my VisionFive2 board (risc-v) ended up with dos-part.
     Pretty sure I just used fdisk(1) and carried on but it's pretty funny that a non-PC ends up with a dos partition table.

     @novenary Well I have u-boot on the bootrom so wouldn't be surprised if I could pretty much use whatever I want like even Amiga partition table.
